Colorado Summer

Photobucket

I love these photos of Crew. He just wanted to stick his feet in the gutter after one particular Colorado rain storm. Much as I've kind of had a hard time out here I do really love the weather! Hot and sunny for swimming during the day, then the clouds roll in, in the late afternoon and cool off the earth, heaven!

This was on the drive out here, taking a break from being in the car. Thats the colorado river!

We have a really great pool at our apartment complex! Crew and I are here about every other day. Nothing says summer like laying out on a floatie in the swimming pool.

This is at "Crews ship" a little playground around the corner from our apartment.

And probably most exciting of all we got crew his first 2 wheeler out here. He LOVES to ride bikes. We brought my bike out too so we could ride together.

I think this was the 1st Sunday we went to church here, the lesson was "I am thankful for my ears" and Crew wore that headband all day.. and all day a few other days.

Rocky Mountain National Park

OK so I decided to stop feeling bad for myself and actually see some of the cool things Colorado has to offer. Yesterday we took a day trip up to Rocky Mt. National Park. Its 2 hours north of where we are in Littleton. We hiked to Alberta falls.

Freakin Emotions

Sheesh this last bit of pregnancy is rocking me! I'm SO emotional about everything, I cry over the littlest matters and the silliest things. I over analyse everything, I can't seem to make decisions easily and I just feel stressed and overwhelmed about everything. I'm physically not so comfortable and my body is tight and tense and achy, which makes me not able to sleep sometimes. I'm just kind of a mess right now! I'm really ready to not be pregnant anymore! Much as I don't like to wish time away and I should just try to be happy, in this case I hope the next 4 weeks flies by so that we can come home and get ready for this baby to come.

Cute Boots

I'm kind of obsessed with these boots

Photobucket

I realize its the middle of July and I'm online shopping for winter boots, but I have a lot of time on my hands out here and I'm home sick. Speaking of that I am having nesting urges SO bad. I have a list of 12+ things I want to do to get all ready for the baby to come. Like rip out ALL the carpet in the basement and put in some type of wood flooring. Did I tell you WE STOPPED RENTING OUT OUR BASEMENT!!! Its kind of the most exciting thing EVER to me! After 5 years of dealing with renters and not really ever feeling like our house was totally ours we finally, actually have our whole house to ourselves!!! and man do I have plans for the downstairs!!! The carpet is thrashed so like I said I want wood or engineered wood everywhere carpet was. I also want to paint every wall, ceiling and baseboard. I really don't like the colors anymore ( hmmm I don't think I did ever ) plus I think it would just make it feel like ours again with new paint. There are 3 bedrooms down there. One will be Jareds new office (which is currently upstairs, which needs to be made into Crews new room so his room can be the new nursury for the baby.. breath) another room will be a actual designated guest room. I've not liked at times we have had family or a friend in town and I could not invite them to come stay at our place because we just literally had no room. Well no more I'm super excited anout that. Also there is a kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer downstairs as well, so it will be quite the comfortable, private place for guests to stay. The third bedroom and MOST exciting will be........... MY VERY OWN SPA ROOM. Then I can have my own designated, private place to do lash extensions, waxing, facials, chemical peels, body treatments etc.. I think I want to paint it maby a deep sage, or something earthy and calming. Then with the wood floor and some cute decor I think it will be quite perfect. Listen to me I'm usually not very into decorating but I'm really excited about this project! I have my own really nice massage bed that Jared got me last Christmas, and I have everything I need to do lash's and waxing. I would just need a few things like a steamer, a hot towel cabby, a bed warmer, sheets, robes to do facials, body treatments and what not.

So anyway after getting Jareds office moved downstairs I then want to:
1- Clean all the carpet upstairs
2- get a bedroom set for Crew (prob off ksl)
3- Break out all the old baby clothes/toys/things and get the nursury all organized
4- get a recliner/comfy chair for nursing in babies room
5- Get some of my baby stuff back I have loaned out
6- Buy diapers and wipes
7- get a replacement clip for the infant car seat that the dog chew up
8- wash car seat cover so its fresh and clean for baby boy
9- Put crib back together. Put in bumper, sheets etc..

So I have a few things I need/want to do and its really KILLING me to not be at home right now to get all these things ready. When we get home in a month I'm not going to have that much time, prob 2-3 weeks. So I plan on making good use of that time and getting as much done as I can.

Anyway this post was about these sweet winter boots, I forgot apparently. They are Sorel Joan of Arctic boots. They sell for $140 on Sorels website so they will be a splurge but I think well worth it for a great pair of sturdy cold weather boots.

Can I just vent...

about a few things? why yes, yes I can because this is my blog and I may say whatever I please right. Well 1st let me just talk about being in Colorado. We have been out in Littleton for 7 weeks now and I definitely have my ups and downs here. The first week I literally cried every single day at some point. This is basically what Crew and I do here... Ride bikes, go to the gym, take beef for a walk, go to the pool, grocery shop, be at the apartment. We do some combo of that everyday. Sounds pretty nice doesn't it. Well some days it is and I have a good day. But some days the loneliness really gets to me. Jared is gone from 8am-10pm everyday m-f working and 8am - about 5 on Saturdays. So its just Crew and I and Beef by ourselves most of the time. I am really grateful for all the quality time with my son especially before this baby comes and things change a bit. But some days its would just be nice to meet up with a friend to chat and let our kids play together. I've taken for granted having friends and a life in Utah, its hard to start from square 1 again. There are not many young moms at our apartment complex at all and our ward is fine but I really haven't made any friends. Part of that is my fault for sure but a lot of people are not overly friendly here either. So anyway I am trying to do my best and make the most of it before we leave, some times its just hard.

On another topic I am 30 weeks pregnant now and the reality that I am going to have this baby soon are setting in. I've been feeling some anxiety about doing it natural again. The birth center I'm giving birth at does not administer epidurals so if I wanted one I would have to go to the hospital and be stuck with a huge bill, so I really don't have a choice. I did it with Crew and I know I am certainly capable. I guess this time I just know what I am getting into. I believe not using the drugs is best for the baby and the mother in most cases( though it is not for everyone) but that doesn't stop me from feeling a little nervous about it.

Ok well I guess that was it.

Anyone have baby boy name ideas? These are the ones I like.. Nash, Slater, Bo, Slade. Like any of those? I'd like to have some more ideas if you've got them.

Confession

I have a addiction.

I am addicted to eyelash extensions!!!

Its kinda driving me crazy to not have them out here in Colorado right now. My girl that does mine is back home and lets face it I don't want to pay full price for them out here. They just make my life so much easier. I wake up in the morning and feel happy with the way I look. I get out of the shower and I don't feel like I need to do anything to my face. If I do put on more make-up and get ready its SO much faster. Basically they make you look cute with no effort on your part, its great! The first thing on my to do list next time I get back to Provo is go see Chez for my fix.

This is my neighbor Heather. I did her lashes while i was at home a couple of weeks ago. I love to see how they change someones face and how happy they are when they look in the mirror when I'm finished.
