Ok I have not blogged since last Halloween, 6 1/2 months. But for good reason I'm sure most you ( like the 10 of you tops that follow my blog) know I have been in aesthetic school for the last 8 months full time and I just graduated a little over a week ago! I completed the 1200 hours, passed my state tests and as soon as I get my license in hand I will officially be a licensed master aesthetician! It's a big accomplishment for me and I'm really proud I stuck to my guns and finished it.
On another note jared and I and crew (and beefstew) are in Colorado for the summer for another pest control sales season. We just got out here yesterday. We are in a apartment in littleton just outside of Denver. If it sounds familiar this is where the columbine shooting was. It's been a couple years since we have gone away for the summer and done this. I have been saying to myself all day, I can't believe we are doing this again!! Ps I am blogging from my phone which is interesting and I'm thinkin I don't like it. I just don't have any internet other then on here right now. It's feels so weird to be out here, and today has been kinda hard. Well really hard, I'm just all by myself pretty much with my crewser and my dog, jared just works 24/7. It's just a lonely feeling not knowing anyone in a brand new city I've never been to. It's quite the challenge keeping a 3 year old entertained as well, all without tv :) I'm sure its good for the both of us to have to figure out how to cope without numbing ourselves by television. Today we took beef on a hour walk, played at the playground, went grocery shopping for like 3 hours, then pretended we were talking rocks under the bed covers, read books and made up songs about toilets and such.
Um next update it that I am 22 1/2 weeks pregnant with another baby boy! I'm due Sept 15th, so ill come home by mid Aug in case I were to go into labor early. I'm going to be doing a water birth with a midwife at a birthing center in orem called better birth. I'm excited about it but nervous to do it natural again. I think I forgot how painful it was the 1st time, but the water is supposed to make it a lot easier so I guess I'm banking on that. I'm sure I could write a lot more but my eyes are kinda buggin from staring at my little phone screen. I've missed blogging and I miss all you guys. I'm sorry I didn't even tell a lot of my friends we were leaving, I was just in my own little world with school for a while there and I was going 10-12 hours a day the last month or so to make sure I finished before Colorado and then we pretty much just came straight out here. I'll blog again soon :)

Happy Halloween 2010 :)

Little man is pretty into pirates lately, so when Halloween rolled around it was pretty natural it was the only thing he wanted to be. Jared found the costume, thanx KSL. SIde note: I got those pumpkins behind him at Buy Low for $1.39 for BOITH! Can't beat 5 cents a pound, I LOVE deals!

Every pirate's got to do their business before trick or treating

Waiting for the goods

Some porch's were decorated so flipping cute

These people took their kids around in a golf cart.. genius!

Trunk or treat

Crew is kind of obsessed with "uncle" Deans dirt bikes!
We had a great Halloween and I had a blast going around trick or treating with my Soldier, I'm SO lucky to be this little guys mom!!!

Much needed update
Now that I have a functioning keyboard I can now write a little blog a log. I am really behind on photos, lots of summer stuff but I will slowly get them up and lots has changed in my life since I last blogged, which most of my faithful blog followers already know about but for journaling sake... I finally did what I have been thinking about and wanting to do for years. I am in aesthetics school full time right now at Acaydia in Provo. I started on Sept 7th and I am there Mon-Fri 8:30-5. 1200 hours is required to graduate, so with going full time I will graduate in May, and when I pass the state board I will be a licensed master aesthetician.
I got to thinking very seriously about doing this a few months ago when my 10 year high school reunion was approaching and it got me to thinking "What have I done with the last 10 years of my life?" I literally laid in bed all night one night thinking about exactly what I have done since I graduated high school, putting together a time line in my head "Worked as a lifeguard at 7-peaks and danced at Center Stage-summer of 2000, started hair school oct 00', Jan 01' decided I did not like doing hair, quit and started working as a hostess at Red Lobster, May 01' quit Red Lobster and started working at convergys full time answering inbound calls, Aug 01' married Jared and bought our condo in Springville, Nov 01' started working at Sundance... and on and on. I have done a lot over the last 10 years that I am proud of but as far as school went, well I never finished anything. I went to UVSC for 2 years taking general classes and lots of dance classes but I really didn't know what I wanted to do. None of the degrees really interested me, I didn't have much direction and I lost motivation. I laid in bed that night thinking here I am 10 years after high school with no degree and no career. A bit of a depressing thought. "What if something happened to Jared and I needed to support my family? What would I do? Get a job waiting tables? Try to get my job back at the airport? How would I make money?
I have always been interested in skin care and thought I would love working in a spa environment. The idea of going to aesthetics school has been in the back of my head for maybe 5 years or so. But I would never pull the trigger. After that sleepless night and all those millions of thoughts shooting in and out of my brain I decided NOW IS THE TIME! literally If I don't do this now when will I? I want to have another baby in the next couple of years and waiting until after that would just make it that much harder, what am I waiting for?
It was been a really good change for me. On top of the practical aspect of wanting to obtain a way to make a living, the homemaker/mom/wife life was taking its toll on me. I'm nuts about my little family of course but I was starting to feel like I was losing my identity and I needed to do something for me, I needed to switch things up, I needed to have another aspect to my life. I think this is just the ticket. When I'm finished I want to get a job in a spa and work part time maybe 2 days a week. Also maybe set up a spa room in my home and take appointments for friends, family and neighbors here and there.
Jared has been very supportive of all of this and he watches Crew while I'm at school, he's such an awesome husband, I'm not quite sure how I got so lucky. On top of school I am teaching hip hop on Tues and Wed nights at Utah Academy dance studio in Orem. I've been wanting to have my own hip hop class/classes for awhile now since I started subbing hip hop at golds gym over a year ago. Ideally I wanted to teach at a gym but when this opportunity came up I wasn't about to turn it down. Its actually really rewarding to see the kids in my classes improve and enjoy dancing. Some of them when we started only a month and a half ago were very shy and unconfident and I already see their confidence levels going up and self esteem improving, its very cool. So I'm very busy, like crazy busy but I LOVE it. When I not at school or dance I'm spending time with Crew and Jared and my animals, cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping, cooking and in general trying to keep things at home in order.
So life is good right now, its very very good. I'm proud of what I am doing and I'm accomplishing some goals of mine! Its exciting!
P.S. If you want a spa service done ie.. facial, back facial, pedicure, waxing, chemical peel etc.. you can come to me at the Acaydia spa. I am allowed to give out a few discounts a month so let me know if you want to come in and I can prob get you a discount. In a couple weeks the main spa will be done being remodeled and its going to be POSH!

Conflicted
Lets talk about diet coke (really diet soda in general) The last few years I have been an occasional diet coke drinker, occasionally meaning a couple of glasses per month like at a restaurant and I was perfectly content with it. I really enjoyed it when I would have one but I didn't miss it the rest of the time. About a month ago a friend of mine brought me a birthday gift basket with treats and 3 diet sodas in it. Over the next week I gradually drank all the soda, having a half of a can per day about. Not very much at all but now I want to drink it everyday with lunch and dinner usually. I bought a six pack of bottled diet coke at the grocery store the other day which is the first time I have ever bought it anywhere other then a restaurant. And I really enjoy having about 4-6 ounces with lunch and dinner. My conflict comes in that I know it is not good for me (I will be the first person to tell you that aspertame causes cancer). Aspertame is the artificial sweetner used in diet soda and lots of other things at the grocery store for that matter. I know I should probably kick the habit and just stop but I really really like it, I am more satisfied with my meals, and it curbs my cravings for sweets. Usually after my meals I want a little something sweet and I usually have a little treat but since drinking a little diet soda with my meals I don't usually have that sweet craving and therefore I eat less sugar and all the bad stuff that is in sweet treats. It also makes me feel really calm and happy. If I am feeling stressed from the day I can sit down to dinner with my diet coke and the world is beautiful again, I know that sounds kind of pathetic but its true. What are your thoughts?
P.S. I do not at all blame my friend who brought me the basket of diet soda, it was very sweet of her to remember my birthday and its not like she forced it down my throat, just wanted to make that clear.

Hikin and rollerbladin
Yesterday I took my cousin Nikki hiking to Stuart falls. Its one of my most favorite hikes. I LOVE the air up there, I LOVE the trees, I LOVE being above the city and surrounded by gods beautiful creations, I LOVE the friendly people on the trail, I LOVE all the dogs we meet along the way and I LOVE letting my son experience and enjoy nature.

Crew and Nikki, he loves her SO much.

Hucking rocks into the river, one of Mr. Crews Favorite past times.

Here she is. I love this waterfall so much, its one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen and it never ceases to take my breath away every time I see it.

Here is another shot, I really could have stayed up there all day long, stared at this, breathed in the fresh air and been totally happy.

Some beautiful horses graced us with their presence.

It doesn't even look like I am in the waterfall but I promise I was soaked, It was HOT and if felt SO good to get in it.

And last week Darise and I rollerbladed from Riverwoods to Bridal Veil Falls and back. I'm so glad Darise is my friend. She has a ton of awesome qualities but the reason I love her the most is that she is REAL. Do you know what I mean? I mean she doesn't pretend to be perfect or put on a my life is amazing face if its not. If she is having a bad day or things aren't going her way she will tell you. Not in a debbie downer kind of way, but in a good, this is just how it is way and its really refreshing. I really like hanging out with her.
I have been thinking there is ONE more month of summer left, there are still so many things I want to do, I better get on it.
