Gone But Not Forgotten

Ok I'm just going to say it, I'm a reality t.v. show addict. I mean, admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery right? Yesterday I was thinking about all the old reality shows I used to love that are no longer with us. So here are some thoughts and memories about them, an ode:

Strip Search on VH1: If you missed this gem that was on during the summer of 05 I feel very bad for you. It was a nation wide search trying to find guys to train to be apart of "The Thunder From Down Under" male review in Las Vegas. Hilarious: Jared and I watched it religiously

The Search For The Next Pussycat Doll: Aired in 07, I loved this show. Asia, the winner who was chosen to be in the Pussycat Dolls, decided soon after winning she did not want to be apart of the group so she could pursue a solo singing career. Haven't heard from her since.

this was the top 3, Asia is on the far right

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: This was Robin Antins (the pussycat dolls Creator) attempt to put together the next big girl group, to follow in the footsteps of the pussycat dolls. I saw a music video of them a while after the show, and they were totally skanked out, like worse then the PCD. I haven't heard from them since then. I'm sure the name Girlicious isn't helping them out.

8th and Ocean: This show followed the lives of young models trying to make it in Miami. No second season boo hoo

Are You Hot?: This was a show that judged contestants on non other then their looks. Basically a co-ed beauty pageant minus the talent and interview. Awesome!

Power Girls: This show followed young girls who worked for Lizzie Grubmans PR firm in NYC. Why no second season? loved this one

Temptation Island: This ones really old. 4 couple's at a crossroads in their relationship were brought to a tropical paradise with lots of attractive single men and women. The single's would flirt with them and try to get them to cheat on their significant other. Could their love with stand temptation? This show was straight up wrong, yet I could not stop watching.

Paradise Hotel: I can't even remember what the point of this show was, I just remember I really liked it. Another really old one

Making The Band: When they were putting Danity Kane together. Pre Aubry skanked out

The day they made the group

Paradise City: This shows setting was Las Vegas. Since I used to live there it was fun for me to watch it and recognize almost everywhere they went. Also I met April (the brunet on the far right) one of the summers I lived in Las Vegas, before she did the show. So it was fun to watch her.

Laguna Beach: I saved the best for last. I'm not sure why I liked this show so much, I think it was because of Kristen Cavellari, she was just a really fun, interesting character. And maby also because of the fact I desperately want to live in Laguna Beach or at least have a house there some day (a girl can dream right?). Maby all the high school drama just sucked me in. Alas Kristen has said she will never do another reality t.v. show, MTV has offered her numerous deals.

That's about all I can think of, What were your favorites?

25 Random Things About Me

This is the 25 random things on my facebook I just posted. Just thought I would put it here too since I took the time to do it. Enjoy!

1: I had braces as a adult, I got them on when I was 21, got them off when I was 22

2: I was a vegetarian for 6 years, in Jr. high and High school. I would get a hamburger kids meal at Wendy and tell them no meat, just the tomatoes, lettuce, onions and condiments with the bun, the workers would look at me like I was crazy, now that I look back that was pretty retarded

3: I LOVE LOVE health food stores, whole foods, sprouts, wild oats, sunflower market, trader joes, good earth, I would rather shop there then go clothes shopping

4: My favorite vacations are the little road trips we take down to So Cal to go to the beach, disneyland, seaworld and visit family

5: I'm a huge animal lover, especially dogs, BIG dogs

6: I'm the biggest procrastinator on the planet, so is my hubby, not a good combination. We just barely got our taxes done..... for 2007 (don't worry we had a extension, not in trouble with the IRS or anything)

7: I was a TSA screener at the SLC airport for 3 years. Yes I was the one rumaging through your underwear, making sure you didn't have a bomb in your bag

8: I have a mentally retarded cat named Lexie. bless her heart

9: I was in the Mrs Utah pageant 2 years ago (I know right, don't judge me)

10: I just finished reading "Tori's Telling" Tori Spelling's autobiography. Not the typical type of book I would read but it totally sucked me in.

11: I'm a big juicer, no I'm not on steroids. I have a jack lalaine juicer and I use it almost everyday. My new favorites are orange/carrot and apple/cantelope/carrot

12: I watch lame teenie bopper shows, like The City and The Hills. My all time favorite was Laguna Beach, the first 2 seasons, the 3rd was totally retarded.

13: I had my son all natural, no drugs. I definitely don't regret it but I don't particularly recommend it either. Pretty sure I'm getting the epidural next time around.

14: I love waterparks, swimming pools, boating. anything that has to do with the sun, water and swmsuits I'm there.

15: I love rollerblading in the summer with my girl Kass and going on fun hikes. Can you tell I'm just a little excited for spring?

16: When I was pregnant (probably 6 months) I was rollerblading with Beef Stew (my dog) ie... Beef was pulling me on my rollerblades at lightning speed, I tripped over him and smacked down on the cement so hard, belly first. Not my brightest idea, no, but we'd done this zillions of times before and never had a fall

17: I have spent the last 4 summers out of state (In Las Vegas and Arizona) while Jared did summer sales

18: I HATE flying, it certainly doesn't stop me from traveling where I want to go, but I just hate the getting there part. I like road trips much better.

19: Once while I was pregnant I was on a full flight, I was in the middle seat. I got queezy and threw up in the barf bag, so embarressing.

20: I think my kid is the cutest little man on the planet. I'm not biased or anything though. He makes me so happy and I'm completely nuts-o butt crazy about him, my husbands ok too :)

21: No seriously though I'm crazy about my hubby, he is a amazing guy and freaking hilarious, this girls so lucky.

22: My favorite foods are peanut butter and watermelon

23: My favorite ice cream is Ben and Jerry coconut almond fudge chip, it's ridiculous.

24: I LOVE bookstore's. I could be in boarders for hours browsing through books

25: I scored 10 points at the ward bball game on thursday WOOT! WOOT! I sucked at pretty bad at all the previous games so I had to redeem myself

Can spring just come early this year?

I have a serious case of the winter blahhhhhhhhs! As I know most of us do during Jan, Feb and March, the redheaded step children of the year. I feel so cooped up in the house especially with Crew, poor thing is getting so bored. Not to mention Beef pretty much hates his life right now. I am itching so bad to slap on my rollerblades and head up the Provo canyon trail, take Crew to the park, go on a nice sunny walk with my dog, hike to Stewart Falls, lay out at the pool. I know it will come soon enough but why do these months have to BLOW so bad. I've been snowboarding a few times this winter and that helps but I still hate the cold. If I could snowboard when its 80 degrees out I'd much rather do that. So come on spring, visit us early this year, your more then welcome.

Random Orange Juice Blog

I have been thinking I should put more random thoughts/stories on here because I love reading stuff like that on other peoples blogs, more so then the normal big events/trips blogs. So here's one for you. I made myself eggs and toast this morning for breakfast, and with this meal I MUST have orange juice. Its kind of like eating chocolate cake without a glass of milk or pizza without root beer, its just unnatural. So Jared bought a big box of oranges from costco the other day and since I have my handy dandy Jake Lalaine juicer I decided to make some fresh. So I grab my plate of eggs with one hand then reach over to my freshly juiced OJ with my other hand and somehow managed to knock the entire glass over, spilling all over my kitchen counter. OK whatever accidents happen so I clean up my mess, peel another orange and run it through the juicer to get a fresh new glass. I pick up my the glass and head to my bedroom to browse the laptop on my bed while eating my breakfast, as I approach my bed I trip over the laptop which was on the ground and spill OJ all over the bed AM I FREAKING SERIOUS? Either I am the biggest cluts in the world or those oranges are tainted and some higher power does not want me drinking that juice. Amazing!

Why don't I do this everyday?

I got up at 7am this morning ( thats early in the kozlowski household) and did my Turbo Jam first thing. I took a shower, made my juice, took care of the animals and tidied up the house, all before Crew woke up at 930. It was so nice to able to focus just on him after he woke up, as opposed to scrambling all morning trying to get a zillion things done, all while trying to distract Crew with Charlie and Lola or My Friends Tigger and Pooh and feeling guilty he's watching T.V. and I'm not playing with him. Now Crew is napping and instead of trying to catch up on stuff I'm relaxing in bed and not feeling one bit guilty about it. Getting up early to a alarm is hard for me, but once I'm up and doing my workout and especially when it's done I feel SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD, TOTALLY WORTH IT.

I've been sick off and on for a week (feeling especially crappy today) so I've been cooped up at the house and bored today so I thought I would take a stroll down memory lane and post a bunch of random old (but not to old) pictures (In no particular order)
